Project HaPag First Monitoring
“Reading is a window towards the World.” This is the reason why Schools Division Office of Caloocan City together with the Local Government Unit and with the support of our honorable Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan launch a program that will help the children of the whole division learn to read in a simple yet effective way. This program is called, Hakbang sa Pagbasa ni Oca or HaPag ni Oca. A program that will surely minimize the struggling readers of the whole division if implemented properly and passionately.
To make this program in action, selected teachers from Kinder to Grade III attended a seminar last November 22-24, 2017. This seminar gave teachers the point of view of the Reading Program. It also trained teachers to lead on the implementation of Project HaPag. It was facilitated by the proponent of the Reading Program, Ms. Rowena Bamboo with the supervision of our very industrious supervisor—Mrs. Jocelyn Pancito. It was held in A. Mabini Elementary School.
To monitor the development of Project HaPag, Master teachers attended an orientation last January 30, 2018 in the Division Office. These hardworking MTs will be the one who will visit each school for the monitoring.
To see the improvement of the reported non-readers in Camarin Elementary School, Master Teachers visited the school for the monitoring.
